YBOA TRYOUTS AT GRANITE FALLS

CALDWELL MAGIC TRYOUTS SCHEDULED

LENOIR - The Caldwell Magic Hoop Basketball program will hold tryouts for players ages 11-and-under Thursday, Feb. 12, Friday, Feb. 13 and Saturday, Feb. 14 at 5 p.m. each day at the old Lenoir High School gym. KINGS CREEK OFFERS SIGNUPS

KINGS CREEK - Kings Creek Community Athletics will hold signups for baseball and girls' softball on Fridays and Saturdays through March 6 at the Kings Creek School gymnasium.

Signups on Fridays will be held from 6-8 p.m. with Saturday signups held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost for registration is $20 for boys and girls' coach-pitch ages 5-8 and $25 for Little League Baseball and softball for ages 9-16. Signups will require a copy of the child's birth certificate. Each child also should be accompanied by parent or legal guardian with some knowledge of child's medical information.

HAPPY VALLEY

HOLDS SIGNUPS

HAPPY VALLEY - Happy Valley Little League will hold signups for baseball and girls' softball on Fridays and Saturdays through March 13 at the Happy Valley School gymnasium.

Signups on Fridays will be held from 6:30-8 p.m., with Saturday signups held from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. All new and returning players should provide a copy of their birth certificate at registration (no originals). The cost for registration is $25.

Anyone planning to play should make sure they reside within the Happy Valley league boundaries to be eligible.

CALDWELL COUNTY OFFERS SIGNUPS

The Caldwell County Little League Baseball Association will hold signups for players in the Gamewell and Collettsville areas through the end of February.

Signups for Gamewell area players ages 5-16 for T-ball, Minor League, Little League, Junior League and Senior League will be held at Gamewell Middle School on Fridays from 6-8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9-10:30 a.m. New and returning players should provide a birth certificate and $25 registration fee. Signups for players in the Collettsville area for T-ball, Minor League, Junior League and Senior League will be held at the Collettsville School gym on Fridays from 5-8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m.-noon. Contact Bruce Hendrick at 754-7050 for more information.

Caldwell County Little League will be taking registration through Feb. 28 for girls ages 9-14 interested in participating in softball. Signups will be held in conjunction with baseball signups at Gamewell Middle School and Collettsville School.

SOUTH CALDWELL HOLDS SIGNUPS

SAWMILLS - South Caldwell Little League will hold signups for baseball and girls' softball for players ages 5-16 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10-11:30 a.m. at Sawmills Town Park. For more information, contact Ronnie Staines at 313-3987.

LENOIR LITTLE LEAGUE SIGNUPS

LENOIR - The Lenoir Parks and Recreation Department along with Lenoir Little League is holding signups for Little League baseball and girls' softball.

Any boy ages 9-12 or girls ages 9-12 who live inside the league boundaries may register to play at the Mulberry Recreation Center. To be eligible for Lenoir Little League All-Star play, a player must live in the league boundaries. The cost to register will be $25 per player. The deadline for registration is Friday, March 5.

WHITNEL OPTIMIST HOLDING SIGNUPS

WHITNEL - Whitnel Optimist is holding baseball registration for youngsters ages 5-13. Signups will be taken on Thursdays from 6-7 p.m. and Saturdays from noon until 2 p.m. at the Whitnel Optimist Park. The registration cost is $20. Registration will last through the end of February. HUDSON BASEBALL HOLDING REGISTRATION

HUDSON - Hudson Baseball will hold registration during February. Registration will be held Feb. 14, 21 and 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hudson Optimist Building. Participants are asked to bring a current address, phone number and birth certificate to registration. Age groups from 5 to 15 can register for the 2004 baseball season.

GRANITE FALLS HOLDS CLASSES

GRANITE FALLS - Aerobics classes will be held at the Granite Falls Recreation Center on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from Feb. 16 to March 25 at 6 p.m.

Body sculpting class will be held on Mondays, and low impact classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
