Barbara Hannah
Mrs. Barbara “Bobbie” Hannah, 65, of Valdese, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Hannah was born February 28, 1943 in Caldwell County to Fannie LeFevre Proffitt of Lenoir and the late Thomas Edgar Proffitt. She was a former CNA at Western Carolina Center in Morganton and a member of Whitnel Pentecostal Holiness Church. Survivors include her husband, Robert “Bob” H. Hannah of the home; her son, Marty Snyder and his wife Andree of Asheboro; her daughter, Hope Hausman and her husband Stan of San Antonio, Texas; step-children, Brian Hannah of Iowa, Sheri Ward of New Jersey, Michele Jones, Kristy Hannah and Stacy Simmons, all of North Carolina; brother, Thomas E. Proffitt and his wife Brenda of Lenoir; grandchildren, Megan Snyder of Asheboro, Vivian and Aaron Hausman of San Antonio, Kyle Ward of New Jersey, Camryn Jones and Kaleb Simmons of North Carolina, Carlie Hannah and Cassidy Hannah of Iowa, and Tyler Jones of Lenoir; niece, Sharon Stoker and her husband Eddie, and their children, Wes and Brad of Lenoir. The funeral service will be held Friday, May 9, 2008 at 4 p.m. at Whitnel Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Revs. Keith Gilliam and David Crisp officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:30-4 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be Les Sibley, Charlie Cato, Rodger Hyatt, Brad Stoker and David Mikeal.
