Norma Dula
Mrs. Norma King Dula, 79, of 1761 Dulatown Rd., Lenoir, N.C. died Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Durham Regional Duke Medical Center. She was born Aug. 2, 1928 in Caldwell County to the late Richard Kind and Nettie Harriett Forney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William C. “Stacy” Dula. Mrs. Dula was retired from Caldwell County Schools as a school teacher, graduate of Johnson Smith University in Charlotte, N.C. and was a member of Delta Sigma Theata Society for 38 years. She was a member of Dulatown Presbyterian Church USA, fianance committee, Presbyterian women, Hospitality committee, INS commitee, former trustee and deacon. She was a beloved and devoted mother, a loving grandmother and aunt, a steadfast friend, she cared for everyone. She was full of life and laughter. She would inspire you with her energy. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon D. Dula of Lenoir, N.C. and Lorna N. Dula (William) of Durham, N.C.; a grandson, Christopher N. Dula of Durham, N.C.; a granddaughter, Leah D. Dula of Durham, N.C.; three sisters-in-law, Reather D. Ervin, Mary Rose Dula and Elizabeth Dula all of Lenoir, N.C.; an aunt, Ann Ramseur (Gaither) of Valdese, N.C.; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 12 p.m. at Dulatown Presbyterian Church USA with the Revs. Jacqueline Alexander, Issac Moore Jr., W.F. McIntosh Jr., E.B. Freeman Jr., and Bishop Dr. Ila McMillian officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 11 to 11:55 p.m. The family is at the home of a daughter, Ms. Sharon Dula, 2631 Tablerock Rd., Lenoir, NC.
