Mamie Bryant

Mrs. Mamie Ella Roberts Bryant, 77, of Stormy Way, Lenoir, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008 at her residence.

Mrs. Bryant was born March 29, 1931 in Caldwell County to the late James T. Roberts and Sally Triplett Roberts. She was a member of Bethel Advent Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Edgar Roberts and J.T. Roberts Jr.; her sisters Leona Auton, Mildred Auton, Violet Roberts, Zelma Teeters, Thelma Pope, Rachel Brown and Jean Rogers; and her granddaughter Olivia Bryant.

Survivors include her husband Herbert E. Bryant of the home; her sons Ronald E. Bryant of Lenoir, Herbert A. Bryant, also of Lenoir, and James Douglas Bryant of Granite Falls; her brother Toy Lee Roberts of Lenoir; her step-daughter Debra Moore of Lenoir; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Garcia, Timothy B. Bryant and Tony Townsend; her step-grandchildren, Bryant Coffey, Danielle Bradley and Clydia Bolick; and her great-grandchildren, Lazaro Garcia, Cristian Garcia and Cohen Allen Bryant.

Services for Mrs. Bryant will be held Monday, May 5 at 1 p.m. at Pendry's Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Burnette officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Advent Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 4 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Pendry's Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Calvin Roberts and other family members.

The family asks that memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood St. NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.

Pendry's Funeral Home and Crematory, Lenoir, is assisting the family with arrangements.
