Michael Bradshaw
Michael Steven Bradshaw, 62, of Cody, Wyo., and formerly of Lenoir, N.C., died Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at his home following a brief illness. He was a retired communications engineer and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Mike served bravely in the Vietnam War as a helicopter crew chief and door gunner. He received the Bronze Star for Valor and the Purple Heart. He was also awarded numerous combat air medals. He was a 1964 graduate of Lenoir High School in Lenoir, N.C. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Vincent David Bradshaw Sr., and his mother, Marjorie P. Bradshaw, both of Lenoir. Survivors include four brothers, Vincent D. Bradshaw Jr. of Lakewood, Colo., Kenneth E. Bradshaw, of Dallas, Ga., Gregory L. and Marcus B. Bradshaw of Lenoir, N.C. A graveside service will be at 9 a.m., Monday, May 5, at the Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colo. A Marine Corps Flag Detail and the All Veterans Honor Guard will assist with the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans in Mike's name.
