Kenneth Barlow

Mr. Kenneth Elisha Barlow, 75, of Barlow Hill Road, North Wilkesboro died Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.

Mr. Barlow was born in Caldwell County, July 5, 1932, to Elisha Elikna and Lucy Beatrice Carlton Barlow. In addition to his parents, Mr. Barlow is preceded in death by a son, Wynn Nelson Barlow.

He was a member of Cedar Rock Baptist Church. Mr. Barlow was retired from Ithaca Industries where he was the Human Resources Director and a former barber at Maple Street Barber Shop. Mr. Barlow also served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

Mr. Barlow is survived by one son, Dudley Merrill Barlow and wife, Lynne of Deering, N.D.; three sisters, Hildred Church and husband, Ronda, Susie Lowrance and husband, Fred, and Annie Anderson and husband, Alan, all of Lenoir; three brothers, Jerry Steel Barlow and wife, Dorothy, Wlliam Earl Barlow and wife, Geraldine all of Lenoir, and Larry (Buck) Barlow and wife, Becky of Granite Falls; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 26 at 3 p.m. at Cedar Rock Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Robbins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive at Cedar Rock Baptist Church from 2 until 3 p.m. prior to the service.
