2008 All-County Boys Basketball Team

€ Anthony Dixon, WCHS Was all-conference in the CVAC as the Warriors' long-range shooting threat. Averaged 11 points per game and made 44 3-pointers. Shot a team best 84 percent at the foul line (67-of-80), had 55 steals (second on team) and led the Warriors with 26 deflections. € Josh Dula, HHS The Panthers starting shooting guard, averaged 11.7 points per game. Scored in double figures in 17 contests, including a season high of 23 against Patton Dec. 14. Was an all-conference pick in the CVAC.

€ Kendall Jones, WCHS Point guard dished out nearly four assists per game and shot 74 percent from the foul stripe while running the Warrior offense. Totaled 104 assists in his freshman campaign. Had 12 points in his varsity debut against South Caldwell and scored a careerhigh 22 at Hibriten Dec. 18, hitting 14-of-16 foul shots. Led the team in steals with 57.

€ Jacob Lail, SCHS A senior post man, averaged a double-double for the Spartans with 11.7 points and 10.3 rebounds per contest. Also blocked 3.4 shots per game. Was an all-conference selection in the Northwestern and was named to the all-tournament team at the First Charter Holiday Classic. Scored 20 or more points three times, including 24 against Ardrey Kell Dec. 27. Two days later, he pulled down 20 rebounds against SouthLake Christian. Plans to walk on at Lenoir-Rhyne.

€ Alessandro Lewis, WCHS Junior forward averaged 10 points per game 57.3 percent clip. Also pulled down five boards a game. Scored a season-high 22 against St. Stephens.

€ Darius Lipford, HHS Led the county in scoring with 13.8 average as a sophomore post player. Also a fierce rebounder and shot blocker. An all-CVAC selection, scored in double figures in 22 games, including games of 25 and 23 points in consecutive contests against St. Stephens and Bunker Hill.

€ Brixton Moore, HHS Brought endless energy to the court as the Panthers' sophomore point guard. Averaged nearly six points per game and often teamed with Lipford on alley-oop passes. Also led his team in assists. Scored a season-high 12 points against Maiden.

€ Chris Paden, WCHS The Warriors' most versatile player, started every game at point guard, but played all five positions as a senior. Averaged nine points and five boards per game, while leading the team in minutes played (656). An all-conference selection in the CVAC.
