Saturday, June 22

Tickets to the South Caldwell High School class of 2003's 10-year reunion must be paid for by June 22. The reunion will be at Market on Main in Hickory on Saturday, June 29, at 7 p.m. and includes dinner. Tickets are $35 apiece and can be ordered from Carrie Curtis at P.O. Box 564, Hudson, NC 28638. There will be a cash bar. The party will be adults-only since drinking will be involved. There will not be a dress code, but people are asked not to wear jeans.

Fabulous Film Night begins tonight, with "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" being shown at dark on the square in downtown Lenoir.

Sunday, June 23

A rabies clinic will be offered 1-4 p.m. at The Ole Store, 203 Burke St. in Rhodhiss. One-year vaccine shots will be $7, and three-year vaccine shots will be $10. Cash only will be accepted. All proceeds go to the Burke County Humane Society.

Monday, June 24

The McDonald’s at 170 U.S. 321 in Granite Falls will host The Rotary Club of Granite Falls for “ROTARY” night 6-8 p.m. Funds raised through this event will support scholarships for South Caldwell High School students, Rotary's Back Pack food supplement and support program for elementary school children, and other southern Caldwell County and Granite Falls community projects.

Tuesday, June 25

The Oak Hill Community Blood Drive will be 3-7 p.m. at Union Baptist Church, 4595 Union Baptist Road. Call 1-800-RED-CROSS to schedule an appointment. All donors will be automatically entered into a drawing for a $1,000 American Express gift card.

The Ladies VFW Auxiliary Lee Powell Post 5381 will meet at the DAV home post,  4113 Hickory Nut Ridge Road, at 6:30 p.m. A catered meal will be served before the meeting for $6 per person, followed by the meeting. If interested in joining contact Shelby Craig at 828-754-5466.

The Granite Falls Women's Enrichment Association meets at 6:30 p.m. in the Granite Falls Civic Building on the campus of the William B. Shuford Recreation Center on Pinewood Road in Granite Falls. The mission of the association is to enhance the lives of women and promote their well-being by providing personal and professional enrichment opportunities through organization programs, discussion groups, workshops, publications (digital and print), scholarships, etc. The association is accepting charter members. Collettsville Ruritan Club will sponsor bingo at 6 p.m. at the clubhouse. Food and drinks will be available. Proceeds will go to support ongoing community projects.
