Carolina Panthers reps may visit Hudson Elementary
Representatives of the Carolina Panthers will come to Caldwell County next month for a pep rally to reward Hudson Elementary School’s students for their performance in a physical-fitness contest, the school’s principal said Monday.
The elementary school had the highest participation rate in North Carolina in the Fuel Up to Play 60 contest, a program that challenges students to participate in 60 minutes of physical activity every day, principal Andy Puhl told the Caldwell County Board of Education.
“On April 17, representatives from the Carolina Panthers, and hopefully a few of the players, along with Fuel Up to Play 60 sponsors, will join students and staff for an afternoon of games and contests,” Puhl said.
The event will take place at Hudson Middle School’s gym because that space is larger than what the elementary school has.
