Lenoir's fireworks postponed; Hudson's parade still on
The City of Lenoir has canceled its Fourth of July celebration, which was scheduled at Mulberry Recreation Center today from 5 to 10 p.m. The fireworks show that was to have taken place tonight has been rescheduled to Saturday night. If it remains too rainy to have the show Saturday, it will be rescheduled again.
The Town of Hudson will hold its annual Kiddie Car Parade starting at 10 a.m. today, rain or shine. Participants will line up at 9:30 a.m. at the Hudson Uptown Building.
The Village of Cedar Rock scheduled a fireworks show beginning at dusk tonight.
Fireworks are planned tonight at the East Shores/Southpointe area, off N.C. 126, on Lake James in western Burke County about 9:15 p.m. Patterson Pyrotechnics, which is producing the show, said Wednesday that the show was still scheduled to go on.
On Saturday, fireworks are scheduled at Wilkesboro Raceway Park about 9 p.m.
The fireworks show that had been scheduled for Friday at the True Vine Church of God in Granite Falls has been rescheduled to Friday, July 12, about 9:15 p.m.
