A new member was sworn in to the Cajah’s Mountain Town Council on Tuesday, along with another who had been appointed to serve an unexpired term, and the council honored another member who chose not to seek re-election this year after 30 years in office.

Lloyd C. Robbins Jr., a transport officer with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, ran unopposed for a seat on the town council in November. Robbins, 55, began his term on Tuesday.

Cheryl Pritchard, who was appointed in March to a seat on the town council after the death of Jerry Woods, was also sworn in after running for election in November.

Mayor Ronnie Setzer, who was also unopposed, was also sworn in for another term.

Council member Allen Stewart asked that the meeting minutes reflect the town council’s thanks for Lois Andes, a former member who chose not to seek re-election this fall. Andes served on the town council for 30 years, since the Town of Cajah’s Mountain’s incorporation.
