Woman sentenced for heroin trafficking
A Simpson, N.C. woman was convicted in Caldwell Superior Court Monday of felony trafficking in heroin. Amanda Brooke Nenninger, 22, was sentenced to 70 to 84 months in prison and was fined $50,000, a press release from the district attorney's office said.
The crimes occurred in March 2011 in Lenoir, according to the release, after a citizen complaint with the Lenoir Police Department was filed.
Nenninger will be taken to the N.C. Correctional Institution for Women in Raleigh for processing.
