Granite Falls convenience store robbed
Two men claiming to have a gun held up the Jack B. Quick convenience store at 64 Falls Ave. early Thursday morning.
Two men walked into the store just after 3 a.m. and told the clerk they had a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of money from the register, Granite Falls police said.
Shortly after the robbery, the men were seen on surveillance video getting gas at the Murphy Oil convenience store at 4820 Hickory Blvd., also in Granite Falls, police said.
Tyrone Mathew Rozzelle of 437 10th Ave. Place NE in Hickory was arrested later in the morning on a charge of robbery with a dangerous weapon, police said. Details about his arrest were not available.
Police said they were looking Thursday for Johnny Edward Harris of Hickory. His specific address was not known.
Rozzelle was being held in jail with bond set at $100,000. He is scheduled to appear in Lenoir Distict Court on Oct. 7.
