Search warrant nets two arrests, drugs

wo Lenoir residents were arrested Thursday after a search of their house found high-grade marijuana, prescription pills and other drug items, the Lenoir Police Department reported.

The department's narcotics unit had been investigating Chance Javonet Horton, 20, and Letitia Yvonne Ferguson, 39, of 435 Rankin St. for months because of complaints of drug activity there, police said. Police seized 57.3 grams of the marijuana, 17 pills and digital scales.

Horton was charged with felony possession with intent to make, sell or deliver marijuana, felony maintaining a dwelling for use, storage or sale of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting an officer. His secured bond were set at a total of $102,500.

Ferguson was charged with assault on a government official and resisting an officer. Her secured bond was set at $2,500.
