Wreck on U.S. 321
Theresa Pritchard of Taylorsville was injured Sunday when her red 2007 Ford pickup was struck on the driver's side by a gray 2004 Toyota Camry at the intersection of U.S. 321 and Mount Merman Road about 2:40 p.m. Hudson police said the Toyota, driven by Tommy Kelly, 48, of Georgia, was going south on U.S. 321 and ran a red light at Mount Herman Road, striking Pritchard as she was crossing the intersection. The wreck blocked both northbound lanes of the highway for more than a half hour. Pritchard's door had to be cut open to remove her. Officials said she was treated at Frye Regional Medical Center and released. Kelly was cited with failing to stop for a red light. Kelly and a juvenile passenger were not injured.
