Erratic driving leads to meth, marijuana arrest

Narcotics officers with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office noticed a car being driven erratically Thursday, pulled it over at the PD Grocery on Sawmills School Road in Granite Falls and recognized the driver, who agreed to let them search the car, said Captain B.J. Fore with the sheriff’s office.

The officers found marijuana, scales and methamphetamines, Fore said.

Mark Russell Triplett, 53 of Granite Falls was arrested Jan. 30 and charged with possession with intent to sell or distribute methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of up to half an ounce of marijuana and operating a vehicle without a license. His bond was set for $76,500.
