Mr. Robert Harris “Bobby” Watson, 64, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013. He was born in Caldwell County on April 23, 1948 to the late Lewis Edwin Watson Jr. and Jean Harris Watson.
Bob is survived by three siblings — his brother, Lewis Edwin Watson III and wife Ninette; his two sisters, Lynne Bradford of Lindon, Utah, Holly Piercy and husband Fred of Denver, N.C.; four nephews, Fred Russell Piercy III “Russ,” Heath Watson, Lewis Edwin Watson IV and Robert Bradford; four nieces, Heather Harris Piercy, Holly Cortez, Jenna Bradford and Sarah Merrill; and 15 grand-nieces and nephews.
Fondly known by “Bullet Bob,” “Mr. Sunshine,” and “Uncle Bobby,” Bob leaves behind many friends and family whose lives have been greatly touched by the love of this “larger than life” man.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to the charity that will best enrich the lives of your own personal family.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at noon.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m., until noon prior to the celebration.

Pollie Jones Carver, 91, of Littlejohn Church Road, Lenoir died Monday, January 14, 2013 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Greer-McElveen Funeral Home and Crematory.
Mr. Bill Alexander Hartley, 80, died Monday, January 14, 2013 at Camelot Manor Nursing Care. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Harold Gearhart Jr.
Harold Duane (Buddy) Gearhart Jr., native of Bluefield West Virginia, died Saturday Jan. 12, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Duane Gearhart Sr. and his mother Arlene Fouts Gearhart. He has a stepmother, Kathy Miles Gearhart of Lenoir; a son, Harold Duane Gearhart III and daughter- in- law, Sonya Gearhart, both of Randleman, North Carolina; four sisters, Nancy Gearhart Nolin of Alaska, Barbara Gearhart Hamm of Lenoir, Kimberly Gearhart Hogan of West Virginia and Joie Gearhart of Lenoir; and a brother, Jeffrey A. Gearhart Sr., also of Lenoir. There are nine nieces and nephews and 15 great- nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of the United States Army and made a lifelong career of construction and self employment. At Buddy’s request there will be no services. Arrangements with family will be at a later date. Donations can be made to Gateway Nursing Home where he resided and Caldwell Hospice, both of Lenoir.
