Mark Phillips

Mark Quincy Phillips, 47, of Lenoir passed away Monday, June 17, 2013, at his residence.

Mr. Phillips was born in Caldwell County to Jerry Quincy Phillips of Lenoir and the late Linda Ann Church Phillips.

In addition to his father, those left to cherish his memory are his wife, the love of his life, Debra Enloe Phillips; his son, David Allen Phillips of Grainville, Ga.; his daughter, Haley Savannah Phillips of Lenoir; sons, Matthew Eric Bowlin of Lenoir, Gary E. Enloe Jr. and Matthew S. Enloe, both of Lenoir; a granddaughter, Jayden Faith Enloe.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2013, at 2 p.m. in Pendry’s Chapel with Pastor Ken Byrley and Pastor Randell Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow the service at Confidence Advent Christian Church. The family will receive friends at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home Friday, June 21, 2013, from 6 until 8.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Collins, Larry Garnes, Johnny Avery, Kenny Lafever, Justin Price, David Allen Day, Robert Avery and Bradley Simmons.

The family respectfully requests that memorials be made to Burke County Hospice and Palliative Care, 1721 Enon Road, Valdese, NC 28690.

Lafayette Lambert Jr.

Lafayette Junior Lambert Jr., 64, of Lenoir passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Lenoir.

Mr. Lambert was born in Harts Creek, Lincoln County, to Lafayette Lambert and Ada Lambert - Lambert.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his sister, Ruby Nelson; and a brother, Herbert Lambert.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Linda Susan Brown Lambert of the home; his sons, Robert C. Lambert and wife Gina of Morganton, Lafayette “Luke” Lambert III and wife Peggy of Lenoir; a daughter, Sandra Kay Lambert of Lenoir; his brothers, Kennith Lambert and wife Bonnie of Harts Creek, W.Va., Lonnie Joe Lambert and wife Debbie of Hart Creek, W.Va.; sisters, Mary Mullins and husband Ken of Harts Creek, W.Va., Margie McCloud and husband David of Dry Branch W.Va., Ethel Sue Mullins of Ferrellsburg W.Va. Also left to cherish his memory are six grandchildren, David C. Lambert Joshua Moore of Lenoir, Mitchell Reese and Shelby Lambert of Morganton, Katie Lambert and Warren Lambert of Lenoir.

Gregory Beane

Gregory “Greg” Lynn Beane, 53, of Hickory passed away on June 17, 2013, at his residence. Born in Catawba County on July 2, 1959, he was the son of Reba Jean Barlow Lynn and the late Paul Ray Beane. He was previously employed by Enterprise Rent-A-Car and was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Maude Barlow and stepfather, R.C. “Sam” Lynn.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 28 years, Glenda Ann Land Beane; daughters, Tonya Renee Elkins and husband Joey of Hudson, and Tiffany Danielle Beane of Hickory; brother, Glenn “Butch” Ray Beane and wife Betty of Hudson; sister, Elaine Beane Bolick and husband Dennis of Hudson; grandchildren, Onikka Skye Carroll Beane, the apple of his eye, of Hickory, Regan Lowman, Skyler Lowman and London Lowman of Hudson; in-laws, David and Jewel Land, brothers-in-law, David Lathan, John David and wife Tina, Eddie Lee and wife Angie; and sister-in-law, Diane Small and husband Andy, all of Lenoir.

A celebration of Mr. Beane’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Center Grove Baptist Church in Hudson with the Rev. Doug Howell officiating.
