Cody Dale Reid, 26, of Fox Road, Lenoir, died Sunday, March 23, 2014, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born July 6, 1987, in Catawba County to Stanley Reid of Lenoir and Barbara Richards of the home.
Mr. Reid was a self-employed plumber and attended Mountain Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was survived by two brothers, Justin Reid and wife Ashley of Granite Falls, and Jerry White and wife Britney of Valdese; his stepmother, Janine Reid, and stepfather, Terry Richards; and a cousin, Brianna Booth who referred to him as “Cousin/Brother.”
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 28, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Union Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Clifton Black and Preacher Travis Oswald. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Ostwalt, Richard Hook, Ronnie Booth, Terry Waller, Richard Benfield and Jason Blair.
Honorary pallbearer will be Clay Reid.

Funeral services for Randy Lee, 58, of Granite Falls and formerly of Madisonville, Texas, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2014, at the Madisonville Funeral Home with burial in Allphin Cemetery. His uncle the Rev. Harold (Buddy) Lee was the officiant.
Randy was born on July 23, 1955, to Billy Ralph & Doris Marie (Mitchell) Lee and passed away on Feb. 25, 2014. He and his mother lived in North Carolina for two years and previously lived in Madisonville for 27 years. Randy liked to dance and was a fan of all things connected with Marvel comics, such as comic books, coloring books, movies and clothing.
He is preceded in death by his father, the Rev. Billy “Ralph” Lee, and is survived by his mother, Doris M. Lee of Granite Falls, and two sisters, Catherine Stokes and husband David of Granite Falls, and Carolyn M. Fickey and husband Kenneth of Centerville, Texas, and several nieces and nephews. Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home is honored to have served the Lee family. Madisonville Funeral Home is serving the family in Texas.
Martha Lee Hamel Hilton, 86, of Granite Falls, formerly of Rock Hill, S.C., died Monday March 24, 2014, at Burke Hospice and Palliative Care Center.
Mrs. Hilton was born Dec. 11, 1927, in York County, S.C.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014, in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese, with the Rev. John Smiley officiating. The family will receive friends following the Service.

Allen Wayne Miller, 49, of Lenoir passed away Monday, March 24, 2014, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Miller was born in Caldwell County to Johnnie Miller and Jacqueline “Jackie” Clay Miller of Lenoir. He worked at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. He a member of the National Guard and member of Littlejohn United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Sierra Jade Miller of Lenoir; his sister, Cindy Miller of Lenoir; two nephews and a niece.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Littlejohn United Methodist Church with the Rev. Allen Bolick officiating.

Gillian Todd Clippard, 52, of Lenoir died Monday, March 24, 2014, at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care – Lenoir. He was born July 28, 1961, in Caldwell County to the late William Hester Clippard and Jean Phillips Clippard.
Mr. Clippard was employed with Broyhill Furniture and was a member of United Presbyterian Church. He was an Eagle Scout, loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and family and friends.
Survivors include his daughter, Caroline Clippard of Lenoir; companion, Reba Cornett of the home; brother, Phillip Clippard of Winston-Salem; stepmother, Imogene Clippard; and pet dog, Snowball.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, March 27, 2014, at 5 p.m. at United Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. Stephen M. Austin.
The family will speak to friends following the service.
