Carolyn Adair Buckingham Compton, 69, of Lenoir went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, April 22, 2013, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 15, 1943, in Madison County, Fla. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Norma Watson. Ms. Compton was a member of Viewmont Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Compton Sr., and a grandson, Travis Boutwell.
She is survived by her three daughters, Debra Hahn and husband David of Lenoir, Angela Carter and husband Mark of Florida, and Joy Boutwell and husband Travi of Florida; two sons, Aaron Compton Jr of Lenoir, and David Compton of Lenoir: and one brother, Charles Watson of Florida; 11 grandchildren, Sean Compton, Jaymes Compton, Christopher Compton, Ashley Hahn, Megan Hahn, Amber Hahn, David Hahn, Abigail Compton, Toye Carter, Eric Boutwell and Michael Boutwell; and one great-grandchild, Ayden Kirk.
Memorial services are scheduled for a later date.

Gary Gwyn Kirby, 65, of Hickory died April 21, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
A service will be held Thursday, April 25, at 3 p.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service.
Roger Calloway Sr.
Roger Dale Calloway Sr., 60, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at his home in Granite Falls. He was born May 18, 1952, in Catawba County to the late William and Beatrice Annas Calloway.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Pricilla Marie Calloway, one sister, Wanda Barnes, and three brothers, Fred Calloway, Edwin Calloway and Bennie Ray Calloway.
He is survived by three daughters, Patricia Hall and husband Randy, Amanda Calloway, and Elvie Walker and husband Jeff of Granite Falls; one son, Roger Calloway Jr. of Granite Falls; three sisters, Shirley Younce and husband Allen of Hudson, Mary Calloway and husband Jack of Hudson, and Tina Bolick of Lenoir; one brother, William Calloway and wife Mary of Hickory; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive family and friends at Mackie Funeral Home on Thursday, April 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be in the Mackie Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 26, at 11 a.m.
