Elizabeth Ann Clark, the infant daughter of Jeff Clark and Lori Hudson, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, in Morganton.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Coy and Sue Clark.
In addition to her parents, survivors include a sister, Callie Fay Clark; two brothers, Anthony Jerome Clark and Darien Carroll Hudson; the maternal grandparents, Eddie Carroll and Jewel Hudson of Hildebran; four uncles, Gary and Larry Clark, Rodney Hudson and Dwight Kelly Jr.; a nephew, Gavin Coy Awad; and numerous other relatives.
A graveside celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held on Friday, April 26, at 2 p.m. in the Clark Family Cemetery in Collettsville with Pastor Raymond Spann officiating.

Grace Cali Cournoyer, 88, of Lenoir passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Lenoir Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Cournoyer was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts to the late Vincenzo Cali and Anne Catonese Cali. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Cournoyer.
She was a member of Lower Creek Baptist Church and was active in the events at the Senior Center.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, John Cournoyer and wife Connie of Lenoir; her granddaughter, Katie Cournoyer; her sisters, Ellie Grupico of Plantation, Fla., and Louise Stepp of West Palm Beach, Fla.
Services for Mrs. Cournoyer will be private.

Dwight Billings, 86, of Lenoir went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care – Hudson. He was born March 4, 1927, in Wilkes County to the late James F. and Pearlie Walker Billings. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances (Sue) Billings; two brothers, Arnold Billings and Wade Billings; and son-in-law, Ken McKenzie.
Mr. Billings was retired from Caldwell Furniture. He was a member of Green Mountain Baptist Church and a World War II Army Veteran.
Survivors include three daughters, Becky McKenzie of Morganton, Janet Messer and husband Wayne of Lenoir, and Sherry Hatley and husband Gary of Hudson; two sisters, Verdie Billings and Verneice Edmisten, both of Lenoir; four grandchildren, Traci Messer-Dula and fiancé Dennis Clark of Lenoir, Brandon Hatley and wife Ashley of Granite Falls, Kevin McKenzie and wife Sheila of Drexel, and Dawn Fender and husband Brent of Valdese; seven great-grandchildren, Hunter Dula of Lenoir, Noah Hatley and Hydie Chester of Granite Falls, McKenzie and Hunter Hamby of Valdese, and Molly and Tyler McKenzie of Drexel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 25, at 3 p.m. at Green Mountain Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Charles E. Keever. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the services at the church.
Serving as pallbearers will be: James Church, George Church, Johnny Byrd, Charles Greer, Jonathan Pritchard and Ronnie Billings.

Brenda Kathleen (Kathy) Whisnant Liner, 63, of Archdale, died Monday, April 22, 2013, at Hospice Home at High Point.

James F. Shull, 82, of Lower Cedar Valley Road, Hudson, a native and former resident of Todd, passed away Wednesday morning, April 24, 2013, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir.
Mr. Shull was born Sept. 7, 1930, in Watauga County, a son of the late Walter and Lucy Shull. He was a retired carpenter for Edward's Construction Company in Hudson. Mr. Shull was of the Baptist Faith.
Mr. Shull is survived by three sons, Cheyenne B. Shull of Hudson, Trinity S. Shull and wife Elizabeth of Rahway, N.J., and Tom Dixon of Trade, Tenn.; seven daughters, Debra Leo and husband John of New London, Penn., Marcia Combs and husband Gary of Kennett Square, Penn., Gail Haynes and husband Rick of Hudson, Angie Dixon of Hudson, Jayne Hall and husband Jesse of Lenoir, Lisa Elmes of Lenoir, and Lou Ann Shull Hoake and husband Ed of Trade, Tenn.; one sister, Geneva Bowles of Hudson; one brother, Jack Shull and wife Jo Ann of Mountain City, Tenn.; and a special friend, Marilyn Edwards of Hudson. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet Paisley Shull; his second wife, Helen Porter Shull; one son, Boyd Shane Shull; and one brother, Walter Ray "Boonie" Shull.
Funeral services for James F. Shull will be conducted Saturday morning, April 27, 2013, at 11 o'clock, at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. The body will lie in state, at the chapel, from 10 until 11 o'clock. Officiating will be Pastor Dennis Whitt. Burial will follow in the Howell Cemetery in Todd.
The family will receive friends Saturday morning, from 10 until 11 o'clock, at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Roger Calloway Sr.
Roger Dale Calloway Sr., 60, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at his home in Granite Falls.
He was born May 18, 1952, in Catawba County to the late William and Beatrice Annas Calloway.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Pricilla Marie Calloway, one sister, Wanda Barnes, and three brothers, Fred Calloway, Edwin Calloway and Bennie Ray Calloway.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lou Calloway of the home; three daughters, Patricia Hall and husband Randy, Amanda Calloway, Elvie Walker and husband Jeff of Granite Falls; one son, Roger Calloway Jr. of Granite Falls; three sisters, Shirley Younce and husband Allen of Hudson, Mary Calloway and husband Jack of Hudson, and Tina Bolick of Lenoir; one brother, William Calloway and wife Mary of Hickory; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive family and friends at Mackie Funeral Home on Thursday, April 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be in the Mackie Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 26, at 11 a.m.
