A memorial service for Linda P. Estes will be held at Harrisburg Baptist Church on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at 11 a.m.

Iona Baker Fox Baldwin, 87, of Hudson passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care – Hudson, after an extended illness. She was born April 8, 1926, in Caldwell County to the late Robert Lee and Jesse McCall Baker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, James Ervin Fox and Jesse Ivey Baldwin, two brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Baldwin was retired from Broyhill Furniture and was a member of Fairview Presbyterian Church. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and best friend.
Survivors include six children, James Fox (Pete) and wife Gail of Seattle, Wash., Robert Thomas Fox (Tommy) and wife Brenda of Lake Norman, Larry Baldwin and wife Jackie of Hudson, Melody McMahon and husband Mike of Morganton, Cathy Nichols and husband Alan of Hudson, Mark Baldwin and wife Donna of Conover; one brother and one sister, both of California; granddaughter and care givers Heather Franklin and husband Tom of the home, great-grandson, Rielly, along with their precious family pet, Kookie; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be private at a later date.

Mary McGee Chester, 62, of Lenoir passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
Mrs. Chester was born in Caldwell County to the late Glen Ernest McGee and Alda Barnet McGee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Renneth, George and Roger McGee, and a sister, Ernestine McGee.
She was employed with Lower Creek Elementary School for 20 years and attended Lenoir Community Church.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband David Relfard Chester of the home; her son, David Jason Chester and fiancée Denise Grogan Wilson; her brothers Bill, Bobby, David and Steve McGee; and a sister, Paula McGee Colley.
A memorial service will be held in Pendry’s Chapel Friday, July 12, 2013, at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Daniel McGee and the Rev. Dennis Tomlinson officiating.
