Faye Moore Ferguson, 96, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. She was born in Caldwell County on Feb. 21, 1917, to the late D.R. Moore and Bertha Holloway Moore of Granite Falls.
Mrs. Ferguson was a teacher in the Caldwell County School System for more than 30 years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Kemp Ferguson; son, Ron Ferguson; sister, Irene Moore; and brothers, Olin Moore, Stewart Moore and Dr. J.D. Moore.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Church and husband Bob of Hudson; daughter-in-law, Gail Ferguson of Lexington, S.C.; three grandchildren, Dr. Jeff Church and wife Lynn of Lenoir; Randy Church and wife Lisa of Tampa, Fla.; and David Ferguson of Lexington, S.C.; four great-grandchildren, Emily Church of Wilmington, N.C.; Katie Church of Lenoir; and Aerin Church and Jon Church of Tampa, Fla.
A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Ferguson at Blue Ridge Memorial Park on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John Herald officiating.
The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service from 6 until 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of the Shaire Center for the quality and loving care they showed to Mrs. Ferguson.

Tina Marie Woods, 38, of Lenoir passed away on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2013, at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
Born Aug. 1, 1975, Tina was a daughter of Kenneth and Margaree Stallman Burchette. She had worked many years as the Senior cook at a Youth Camp. She enjoyed playing the piano and was able to play by ear. She enjoyed decorating, making crafts and scrapbooking. Tina will be remembered as a loving wife and mother and a lady who loved and would do anything for her family. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Burchette and her paternal grandparents, Eugene and Deomie Burchette.
Survivors include her husband of nine years, Radford Woods of Lenoir; a daughter, Sierra Vance and husband Randy of Lenoir; a son, Dillion Triplette of Lenoir; a stepson, Daniel Woods of Lenoir; three sisters, Stephanie Robbins and husband Marshall, Sherry Hamby and husband Junior, and Deedee Huggins and husband Louis; two brothers, Stephen Burchette and Stacey Burchette; two grandchildren, Serenity Vance and Raelynn Vance; her maternal grandparents, George and Ella Stallman; and her mother-in-law, Shirley Faye Woods. She is also survived by numerous other relatives.
A celebration of Tina’s life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at 12 p.m. at the New Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Angle and Pastor Waitsel Beard officiating. Interment will take place in the Woods family cemetery in Darby.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the church.

E. Harper Harris, 79, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center, with visitation from 9:30-11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Charles Lavon St. Clair, 69, of Taylorsville died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013. Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, from 2-2:45 p.m. at Three Forks Baptist Church, and Service will begin at 3 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Jimmie H. Richardson, 69, passed away Nov. 20, 2013, at Frye Regional Medical Center.
Jimmie was born Dec. 30, 1943, in Heaton to the late Donley Harden and Mabel Manila Cooper Richardson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Irene Richardson; second wife, Lucy Richardson; daughter, Hazel Knox; five brothers; and six sisters.
Besides having a love for wood working, what he loved most of all was his family and dear friends.
He worked for Thomasville Furniture and Hammery Furniture for over 40 years.
Surviving are his fiancé, Hazel Potter Carpenter; daughters, Ruby Locke and husband David of Monroe, and Carolyn Edminsten and husband Bill of Hudson; son, Wayne Rector and wife Della of Hudson; brothers, Joe Richardson of Butler, Tenn., and Harry Richardson of Johnson City, Tenn.; sister, Wanda Miller of Mountain City, Tenn.; son-in-law, Phillip Knox; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A private memorial gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at his home from 12-2 p.m. with the Rev. David Locke and the Rev. Harry Richardson officiating.
