William Jim Owens, 46, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Sept. 11, 2013. He was born June 22, 1967, in Cook County, Ill., to the late Mace Owens and Ellen Adams Owens.

Brad David Teague, 37, of Abernathy Street in Lenoir died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at the residence. He was born June 16, 1976, in Caldwell County to Michael Teague of Tayorsville and Sherry White Houston of the home.
Mr. Teague was a diesel mechanic and was a member of Oxford Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to his parents include two sisters, Jeannie Dawson of Lenoir and Celena D. Houston of the home; and two nephews, Joseph and Jacob Dawson.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Oxford Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Neil Walker and the Rev. Tom Walker.

Lucy Eggers Warren, 82, of Karr Drive in Hudson died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at the residence. She was born July 18, 1931, in Watauga County to the late George and Lona Hollar Eggers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hal J. Warren; one son, Jerry K. Warren; four brothers, Carroll, Eugene, Frank and Bob Eggers; and four sisters, Rosie Goodson, Bina Townsend, Hazel Ashley and Joanne Aldridge.
Mrs. Warren was retired from Caldwell County Schools and was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, John Hal Warren and wife Neal of Lenoir; one daughter, Debbie Warren Auton and husband Steve of Sawmills; daughter-in-law, Joan Warren of Lenoir; three brothers, Tom Eggers of Sawmills, Charlie Eggers and wife Martha of Bamboo and Gurney Eggers and wife Elaine of Lake City, Tennessee; one sister, Ruth Cook of Bamboo; two grandchildren, Kelly Warren Turnmire and Ashley Auton; four step-grandchildren, Darin Auton, Scott Auton, Jimmy Lowman and Kathi McDonald; three great-grandchildren, Landon, Sydney and Benjamin; and six step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Sunrise Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. David Woods and the Rev. Edd Warren. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.

Ruby Lee Setzer Livingston, 89, of Taylorsville passed away Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at her residence. Visitation will be held Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, with funeral services to start at 4 p.m. Intombment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Hickory following the services. Arrangements entrusted to Alexander Funeral Service.
Jessica Claire Shoemaker Miller, 35, of Fairlane Drive NE in Lenoir died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care – Lenoir. She was born March 15, 1978, in Guilford County to John Shoemaker of California and Kay Kirby Shoemaker of Lenoir.
Mrs. Miller was employed in medical billing and a member of Water Life Church. She left a legacy for others to know of a woman’s true faith, strength and courage.
Survivors in addition to her parents include her husband, J. P. Miller of the home; two sons, Quinn Gibson Miller and Owen Ivey-Grant Miller, both of the home; stepfather, G. Hollis Perkins of Lenoir; and one sister, Carey Yannarella and husband, Frank of California.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Clemey Elizabeth (Cline) Holden, 93, of Hickory passed away Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at the Brian Center East.
She was born Feb. 8, 1920, in Caldwell County to the late Simon S. Cline, and Bertie (Cannon) Cline. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Holden; brothers, Dewey, Ray, J.T. and Gutherie Cline; her sisters, Hazel Cline, Geneva Miller, Coleen Hall, and Nevada Hollar.
Mrs. Holden was a retired seamstress with Sherrill Furniture Co. She was a lifelong member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. She served actively in ministries for shut ins. She was a Sunday School teacher and member of the choir. Additionally, she was a volunteer for the Caldwell County Hospice. Clemey made three trips to the Holy Land, serving as a tour guide on two of them.
Survivors include one son, Bobby Holden (Marsha); a daughter, Melanie Holden; granddaughter, Nicole Harris (Melvin); and great grandsons, Nicolas Tessener and Hunter Harris. Clemey enjoyed a special, close, loving relationship with a number of nephews and nieces who survive her.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Glen Walker and the Rev. Randy McCall officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The pallbearers are members of the Men’s Adult Sunday School Class at Mount Zion.
