Mrs. Kay McGee Edmiston, 64, wife of Stanley Eugene Edmiston, of Boomer died Monday, January 28, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice & Pallative Care in Winston-Salem.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Wilkesboro Baptist Church with the Rev. Bryon Greene officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Beaver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday night.
Mrs. Edmiston was born in Caldwell County, N.C., on June 21, 1948, to Raymond Woodrow and Margaret Elizabeth Barnett McGee. She was a member of Wilkesboro Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Edmiston was preceded in death by infant twins, Ricky and Vickie Edmiston and a son, David Edmiston.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Edmiston is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Edmiston Hartley and husband Jeff of Boomer; one son, Robby Edmiston of Greensboro; one brother, Raymond Daniel McGee of Lenoir; and two grandchildren, Nicholas Hartley and Adrienne Hartley.

Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home in North Wilkesboro will be in charge of arrangements.
Richard James Martin, 77, of Cedar Rock Estates Dr., Lenoir died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the residence. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Greer-McElveen Funeral Home and Crematory.
Mrs. Zeta Magnolia Patterson Phillips, 94, of Dulatown Road, Lenoir died Saturday, January 26, 2013 peacefully at her residence. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. Ebony Funeral Services of Lenoir is caring for the family.
Suzanne Davidson Cope, 55, of Buck Ford Road, Asheboro died Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.
Mrs. Cope was born June 22, 1957 in Camden, N.J. She was an avid collector, sports fan and loved to celebrate everything about Christmas. From music, movies and glassware collections to cheering on her Washington Redskins and favorite NASCAR drivers, Suzanne was ever so passionate. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. The light of Suzanne’s life was her grandson, Memphis. She was preceded in death by her parents, John D. and Jeanne M. Davidson.
She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Cope, of Asheboro; a daughter, Kristi P. Jones and husband Corey of Charlotte, N.C.; a grandson, Michael Memphis Jones of Charlotte; a sister, Paula J. Mohr and husband Andrew of Powells Point, N.C.; a nephew, Dwayne H. Story of Powells Point, N.C.; a sister, Lynne M. Davidson and husband Spencer Benson of University Park, Md.; a stepdaughter, Amanda Lambert and husband Joe Lambert of Millers Creek, N.C.; step-granddaughter, Hailey Lambert of Millers Creek, N.C.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 2, at 4:30 p.m. at The Episcopal Church Of The Ascension, in Hickory, N.C., with the Rev. Karla Woggon officiating. The ashes will be interred on the church grounds. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801 18th St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20006.
