Edith Pauline Coffey Prestwood, 87, of Lenoir passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Gateway Nursing Center.
Services for Mrs. Prestwood will be held at a later date.

Carolyn Ann Casey Wyatt, 71, of Lenoir passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory.
Born July 24, 1941, in Millinocket, Maine, Carolyn was the youngest daughter of the late Carlton and Merilda Casey. Carolyn was Catholic by faith. She worked with the Department of the Navy. She was a member of the Red Cross, deploying over 25 times to disaster relief operations nationwide, receiving numerous awards for her dedication. She was a Girl Scout leader and a Den Mother. She served as president of the PTA and was a candy stripper in high school. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Lynch; and the father of her children, Travis H. Wyatt.
Survivors include a daughter, Terri Wyatt of Lenoir; four sons, Alan Wyatt and wife Janice of Sharpsburg, Carl Wyatt of Stafford, Va., Rob Wyatt of Lenoir, and Barry Wyatt and wife Kim of Swansboro; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Jamie, Kristy, Eric, Travis, Luke and Sarah; and numerous other relatives.
A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Chaplain Steve Butler officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Esther Virginia Phillips Cannon, 89, of Lenoir passed away July 11, 2013, at Caldwell County Hospice and Palliative Care, Lenoir.
Born June 9, 1924, in Watauga County, she was the daughter of the late William Dan Phillips and Ruth Dyer Phillips. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Oliver Cannon Sr., one sister and one brother.
Mrs. Cannon was a member of Colliers United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Clayton Oliver Cannon Jr. and wife Reba of Lenoir; her daughters, Brenda Parsons of Lenoir, and Mary Ann Warner and husband Donnie of Granite Falls; two sisters, Catherine Pritchard and husband Bud of Hudson, Dora Rich of Lenoir; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held on Monday, July 15, 2013, 11 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Lori Anne Bowen officiating. The family will receive friends at Bass-Smith Granite, Sunday July 14, 2013, from 3 until 5 p.m.

Clara Marie Cresson Holden, 51, of Lenoir passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care.

Cynthia Willis Norris, 52, of Vale passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 14, at 2 p.m. at Laurel Hill Methodist Church Cemetery, Vale. A receiving will follow the service.
