Linda Carole Greene Tramble, 70, of Granite Falls went home to be with The Lord on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care following a period of declining health.
Linda was born on May 1, 1943, in Caldwell County to the late Howard Henry and Vergie Belle Hollar Greene. She was a lifelong member of Mountain Grove Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir and the Ron Beane Sunday School Class. Linda was retired from Industrial Seaming after 25 years of service.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son David Keith Tramble and one sister, Mary Greene Shukis.
Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Paul Dean Tramble of the home, and children Monica Kirby White and husband Noel, Angie Kirby Church and husband Brian, Terri Kirby Looper and husband Scott, Paula Tramble Wilson and husband Dennis, and Melanie Coffey Gaines and husband David, all of Granite Falls. Also surviving are 11 granddaughters, two grandsons, eight great-granddaughters, one great-grandson, one brother, Jim Green and wife Judy of Granite Falls, and one nephew, Brian Greene of Granite Falls.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday April 26, 2014, at 4 p.m. at Mountain Grove Baptist Church with the Dr. Clifford Black and Dr. Rick Crouse officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday, April 26, 2014, from 2-4 p.m. at Mountain Grove Baptist Church.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood St. NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.

Sherman Martin, 90, of Morganton died Monday, April 21, 2014.
The funeral will be at Shiloh A.M.E Church, Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12-12:55 p.m. prior to service.
Eric Todd Childers, 40, of Hickory passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2014, 4 p.m. at Viewmont Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. prior to services at the church.
Darene Church Davis of Lenoir died Wednesday, April 23, 2014. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Greer-McElveen Funeral Home and Crematory.
Ruby Walden, 86, of Granite Falls died April 23, 2014.
A family graveside service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014.

Gwyndolyn Riggs Frye, 91, of Lenoir passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014, at her home. Born July 13, 1922, in Caldwell County, Ms. Frye was a daughter of the late John Henry and Charlotte Triplett Riggs.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Ned Riggs, Z.O. Riggs, Bass Riggs and Bill Riggs.
Ms. Frye was a retired executive secretary with Broyhill Furniture Industries and a graduate of Lenoir High School. She was a long time member of Lower Creek Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday school and worked in the nursery for over 20 years. She had served as a volunteer with exceptional children at Gamewell Elementary School and at Lower Creek Elementary School with reading.
She was a wonderful mother and loved her family, especially her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children, Les Frye and wife Frances of Granite Falls, Bev Frye and husband Joe Doll of Patterson, David Lynn Frye of Longview, and Carol Frye and husband Bo Hughes of Lenoir; one brother, John Riggs and wife Peggy of Lenoir; three sisters, Sabra Melton of Lenoir, Peggy Jean Wilson and husband Bob of Lenoir, and Mary Gay Hickman of Hickory; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Frye Burnworth and husband Craig, Charlie Frye, and Chris Baker; and three great-grandchildren, Gwyneth Frye, Nina Burnworth and Beau Burnworth.
A celebration of Ms. Frye’s life will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Lower Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Bert Blackburn officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. prior to the service in the fellowship hall of Lower Creek Baptist Church.
