Letter: Thanks to those who serve
To the editor:
I’m writing to say thank you very much to all the men and women who served or are serving in the military and fighting for our freedom. I served during Vietnam in 1971-72, and my prayers go out to all of you. But the ones who dodged the draft and took off to Canada at that time of that war, I do not feel sorry for any of you. The young people who are old enough for the service now, get a life and do something for your country and quit griping about our men and women in the armed forces. You have no right to say anything if you don’t serve your country.
