To the editor:

On behalf of the 25th Judicial District Bar (Caldwell, Burke and Catawba County lawyers) I write to commend the staff at the J.E. Broyhill Civic Center for a wonderful evening on Nov. 7. We held our annual meeting there, and the staff was a pleasure to work with in all respects. They were well organized, offered us a wide variety of options for planning our meal and event and were accomodating to an extraordinary degree. The food was superb and has been commented on by numerous attendees. The service was professional, and the meal presentation was elegant. The room setup was planned and executed well. Most of all, the staff was all very helpful with suggestions.

We have a real asset in our community for which we should all be very proud. I recommend that anyone who is planning a large event that involves the preparation and service of food take particular note of this resource available here in Caldwell County.

Believe me, when lawyers from Hickory offer effusive compliments about the occasiion, it has been a success.

Thanks to all of those people who helped us host our meeting, Chef Raymond Kirby, Elaine Lockhart, Cheryl Bolt, Brenda Floyd, the technical staff, the servers and bartenders and others who worked behind the scenes.
