Editorial: Canadian mayor makes waves
No matter whether your candidates are in office, coming or going, you can be grateful at least that your mayor is not Rob Ford.
Ford, in case you had not heard, is the mayor of Toronto, Ontario, and made headlines across North America, at the very least, last week after admitting to a room full of reporters that he had smoked crack cocaine -- a year or so ago, “Probably in one of my drunken stupors.”
In addition to providing predictable fodder for late-night comedians, the confession produced this memorable, 100-percent-factual secondary headline (the main headline was “Global Stuporstar”) from the tabloid Toronto Sun:
