Caldwell County’s first baby of the new year was born at 1:39 a.m. Jan. 1, 2010, when Mason James Lutz entered the world at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. He was born a little more than two weeks ahead of his scheduled due date of Jan. 16, and he weighed in at 6 pounds, 1 ounce. His mother, Whitney Miller, and father, Michael Lutz, both said the experience is one they never will forget. “It was a different way to bring in the new year,” Whitney said. Michael added, “He was the first baby born on the first day of a new decade. It’s not a holiday she (Whitney) will forget.” There were no issues with the birth, and both mom and baby are doing fine.
Congrats Whit & Michael! I love you VERY much!
Love,
Aunt Tina
