Obituaries for Oct. 30, 2009
Najaia Victoria Logan Sarratt, infant daughter of Shanarri Dwan Logan and James Sarratt of Charlotte, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Carolina Medical Center.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Zyhavian Rayquan Logan of Lenoir; maternal grandmother Agnes Rayna Logan of Lenoir; and paternal grandmother Maureen Icard Sarratt of Charlotte; maternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond (Annie) Logan; and Beatrice Forney of Lenoir; and paternal great-grandmother, Lorean Icard of Lenoir; maternal great-great-grandparents, Sado and Jesse Mae Corpening of Lenoir; and also a host of uncle, aunts and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Kevin E. Jones; great-great-grandparents, Marvin Link, and Sylvester and Annie Mae Logan, and Fred Icard.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with the Rev. Alvin Brown officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Raymond and Annie Logan.
The family requests that memorials be made to William Lenoir Middle School, 332 Greenhaven Drive, Lenoir, NC 28645, or Smith Memorial United Methodist Church, 426 Woodsway Lane, Lenoir, NC 28645.

ELIZABETH STIMSON
Elizabeth C. Stimson, 96, of Lenoir, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at Lenoir Health Care.
She is survived by her sons, Doug Stimson of Asheville and David Stimson of Knoxville, Tenn.; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard Crisp and Maude Estes Crisp; and her husband, Gwyn Stimson.
Private services for Mrs. Stimson will be held at a later date.
The family requests that memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Lenoir, 304 Main Street NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.

WAYNE FETHERBAY
Wayne Fetherbay, 65, died Oct. 28, 2009. The funeral will be at 11 a.m., Saturday at Sossoman's Colonial Chapel. Burial will be at Burke Memorial Park. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
