Members of the Caldwell County Board of Commissioners, School Board and public schools administrative staff recently recorded a television segment with the Rev. Dr. Terry Hunt, chairman of the Caldwell County Leadership for Change, about the proposed new middle school for the Hibriten District.

The segment will air this coming week on the Caldwell County Government Channel on Charter Cable Channel 10.

The 55-minute segment will air four times daily through November 13. Air times are 7 a.m., 7 p.m., 1 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Dr. Helen Hall, vice chairman of the Caldwell County School Board, Dr. Jeff Church, assistant superintendent for auxiliary services for Caldwell County Schools, and Caldwell County Commissioner Don Barrier joined with Hunt in discussing the plans and potential funding for the proposed school. If built, the middle school will be located behind Hibriten High School off Wilkesboro Boulevard near Taylorsville Road.

The television segment is being aired to bring more public awareness to the issue in advance of a series of public meetings about the proposed school set for the next few weeks. The meetings are being hosted by the Caldwell County School Board.

For more information about the schedule of the program, contact the Caldwell County Government Channel 10 Office at (828) 757-1448.
