Hibriten student Emily McFarland to be on 'Good Morning America'
A senior at Hibriten High School will miss classes Wednesday, but she has a pretty good excuse: She is scheduled to appear on ABC's "Good Morning America."
Emily McFarland, 18, is a model and is to appear in a fashion segment on the show, said her mother, Susan McFarland. This will be Emily McFarland's first paid modeling job, though she has been going through training and casting calls, she said.
"She's so excited she can't stand herself," Susan McFarland said.
Emily McFarland, an honors student who plays trombone and also is a drum major and in the chorus, plans to major in political science in college and has been accepted to both Appalachian State University and Lenoir-Rhyne University.
